It is the policy of Kinnic Falls Alcohol and Drug
Abuse Services, Inc., to provide treatment to clients
on a voluntary basis in a caring environment with
structure to encourage continued recovery. Service
and treatment are provided with respect and consideration
for the individual and the individuals rights.
The program is centered around the philosophy of
Alcoholics Anonymous. Individual and group counseling
is provided by trained and certified chemical dependency
counselors. Vocational and employment counseling is
available through resources such as the University
of Wisconsin-River Falls, Chippewa Valley Technical
College, the Wisconsin Job Service, and the Division
of Vocational Rehabilitation. Psychological counseling
and psychiatric care are handled by referral to consultant
provider.
Individual client treatment plans are established
with each client, utilizing the approved program outline.
These plans are developed on an individual basis,
with consideration of the clients needs and
based on information obtained from the client, treatment
center, referent and significant other persons. Objectives
are identified for each client with specific methods
to achieve the listed goals. Individual confidential
files are maintained to chart progress and verification
for follow-up.
Kinnic Falls does not utilize procedures such as
psychosurgery, electroconvulsive treatment, adversive
conditioning, etc., as methods of treatment.
