- Beds are to be made each morning, complete with
mattress pads, sheets, pillowcases and covering.
- Clothing is to be hung in closets or put away
in dressers.
- Soiled clothing is to be stored in non-absorbent
closed containers.
- Soiled linens are to be turned in to the Unit
Specialist. Clean linen will be distributed in the
Unit Specialist office on Thursdays, from 7:00-9:00
a.m.
- Furniture and floors are to be cleaned regularly.
- House Duty List is posted weekly on the bulletin
board; duties are to be kept up daily. Duties are
monitored daily and rotated each week.
- All perishable type foods are to be kept in the
refrigerator. Storage of perishable foods is not
permitted in the individual rooms. Other type foods
such as crackers, candy, etc. are to be kept in
vermin-proof containersmetal, glass, etc.
- Food preparation is not permitted in the rooms,
nor are electrical appliances used in food preparation.
- Waste materials are to be placed in fire retardant
containers, not in paper bags or boxes.
- Smoking and open flame lights, such as candles,
are not permitted anywhere in the building.
- Beverages are permitted in designated areas only.
- Fire evacuation plans are posted on the walls
of each hallway. Please familiarize yourself with
the evacuation routes. Periodic fire drills will
be conducted. Evacuation procedures are reviewed
with each client during orientation. In the event
of fire, please evacuate the building immediately,
according to instructions. Tornado or storm warning
procedures will be provided during applicable seasons.
- Emergency medical care:
Contact the staff member on duty.
A first-aid kit is available
in the Unit Specialist office.
Physicians are available on a
twenty-four (24) hour basis for emergency care through
the River Falls Medical Clinic. The clinics
phone number is (715) 425-6701.
- Problems or needed repairs are to be reported
to the Unit Specialist.
