It is the policy of Kinnic Falls to admit and to
treat all clients without regard to race, color, national
origin, sex, age, religion or disability. The same
requirements for admission are applied to all, and
clients are assigned to the facility without regard
to race, color, national origin, sex, age, religion
or disability. There is no distinction in eligibility
for, or in the manner of providing any client service
provided by or through the facility. All facilities
of Kinnic Falls are available without distinction
to all clients and visitors, regardless of race, color,
national origin, sex, age, religion or disability.
All persons and organizations that have occasion either
to refer patients for admission or recommend Kinnic
Falls residential treatment are advised to do so without
regard to the patients race, color, national
origin, sex, age, religion or disability.
Chemically dependent individuals who meet the following
criteria are eligible for admission.
- Clients must be eighteen (18) years of age or
older or acceptable under waiver provision of Group
Foster Home provision of Social Services.
- Clients must be ambulatory or semi-ambulatory
but capable of negotiating stairs and who maintain
the ability to take independent action for self
preservation under emergency conditions.
- Clients are alcoholic or drug dependent persons
who are currently free of the use of alcohol or
mood-altering drugs or chemicals and show a desire
to alleviate their alcohol or drug problem.
- Clients must have completed a primary treatment
program prior to admission.
- Clients are to be free of communicable disease
or unusual health problems. This is to be documented
by medical examination within ninety (90) days prior
to admission or three (3) working days after admission.
Follow-up health assessments are required, at least
annually.
Kinnic Falls complies with the requirements of Title
VI of the Civil Rights Act of 1964 (78 Stat. 252:
P.L. 88-352) which provides that no person shall on
the grounds of race, color, national origin, sex,
age,* religion or disability,** be excluded from participating
in, be denied benefits of, or otherwise be subject
to discrimination under any program or activity receiving
Federal financial assistance. Admission shall not
be denied on the basis of the number of previous admissions
to any treatment unit, receiving unit, or any other
related program.
